-Back in 2007 an unofficial version of [[http://www.pld-linux.org/|PLD Linux Distribution]] was created - PLD Titanium. In 2010 a conflict arose between PLD project leaders and PLD Titanium creator. As a result our distribution was rebranded and in early 2011 completly separated from PLD. Because //Titanium// was widely known name of our distribution among PLD users we decided to use name //TLD// which at that time was standing for //Titanium Linux Distribution//. Unfortunately limited human resources caused stagnation in developement process after fork and most of users has left because project was pretty much abandoned.
-On April 2013 Titanium Linux Distribution was brought back to life as TLD Linux - distribution dedicated for server environments with no desktop support except for running VNC/RDP sessions for virtual machine management GUI.

-TLD Linux is developed and maintained by just few people and except core system elements most of our packages are built using PLD sources. We are doing our best to provide bug and security fixes but since all work is done in our free time we can't guarantee regular updates and/or releases. Keep that in mind when choosing TLD Linux for your servers.

 Our main goal is to provide stable and working server system. Because of that TLD Linux releases are based on snapshots. There are always two of them: //Stable// and //Development//.
